Chandigarh, February 21, 2015: Panjab University (PU) student Vikas Kinha has been awarded Certificate of Appreciation by the President of India. Senior NSS volunteer at PU, Kinha is pursuing MA. This young achiever has been named best scout and guide for Haryana region (2013-14).

PU NSS Coordinator, Prof Yog Raj Angrish informed that Vikas Kinha received the Certificate of Appreciation at Darbar hall, President House of India for his outstanding performance in the field of social service on February 16, 2015.

A shining star of Government school in Jhajjar,  Kinha has been a part of 4 National camps and more than 10 state level camps. He started serving the society from his school times. He has actively participated in many awareness camps, blood donation camps & also educating the poor children.  Vikas has been a part of NCC & NSS. Belonging to a small village Machhrauli of Haryana, Vikas credits all his achievement to his parents and teachers. His father Jaiveer Kinha, a farmer has been his inspirations to serve the humanity. Also he is grateful to Anil Kaushik, Vinod Bansal & LS Verma associated by Scout & Guide Department of PU, who hasbeen his guiding light & source of constant moral support.

Vikas aims to make the society more aware & better place to live. He dreams to become a Professor at college level.  /(SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
