Chandigarh, July 19, 2025: The three-day International Workshop on Digital Technologies in Healthcare, jointly organised by Panjab University (PU) and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, concluded at Panjab University.

The prestigious workshop, organised at the Design Innovation Centre, UIET, featured a distinguished delegation from Nottingham Trent University, with Prof. Philip Breedon and Dr. Cleveland Barnett serving as chief guests.

In the valedictory session, PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig emphasised the importance of further academic collaboration and proposed the initiation of a dual Ph.D. degree program between the two universities. The closing session was attended by PU Director, RDC Prof. Meenakshi Goyal and Dean, International Students Prof. Kewal Krishan.

The workshop brought together domain experts from leading institutions including PGIMER and Easiofy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Key speakers included Dr. Manoj Jaiswal, Dr. Bhavita, and Dr. Sudhir Bhandari from PGIMER, along with Ms. Noor Fatma from Easiofy Solutions.

The inaugural session was held at the Centre for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (CSDE) in the presence of Prof. Suveera Gill, Honorary Director, CSDE, and Prof. Sukhwinder Singh, Director, UIET.

The workshop was spearheaded by Prof. Prashant Jindal and Prof. Mamta Juneja (UIET), who highlighted the growing role of additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence in modern healthcare solutions.

On the final day of the workshop, the international delegates were given a cultural tour of Chandigarh, offering them a glimpse into the city’s heritage and architectural richness.
