PU instructions issued to student organisations

Chandigarh September 1, 2023: After the meeting of Panjab University Authorities with Chandigarh Police, the following instructions have been issued to the student organisations:

•    Students of Panjab University are responsible persons; therefore, they should not indulge in violence.
•    Strict action will be taken against the students involved in illegal activities.
•    CRPC 144 is imposed in the city till October 2023. Therefore, prior permission of District Magistrate is required for any type of big procession or rally etc.
•    Outsiders’ entry is totally banned till elections are over.
•    Any type of weapons are not allowed at the campus. Licenced weapons are also banned.
•    Canvassing in the group of only 5 persons is allowed.
•    Action will be taken against the students/organizations who indulge is organizing trips, parties etc.
•    Car Rally is also total banned.
