PU Hosts Launch of NYCC Climate Advocacy Resource Kit “Pathways”

Panjab University (PU) hosted the launch of the climate advocacy resource kit “Pathways: From Leadership to Advocacy” by the National Youth Climate Consortium (NYCC), an initiative of the Bring Back Green (BBG) Foundation, at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11 Chandigarh. Supported by YuWaah at UNICEF India, the workbook is aimed at equipping young people with structured and practical tools for climate advocacy.

Chandigarh, December 26, 2025: Panjab University (PU) hosted the launch of the climate advocacy resource kit “Pathways: From Leadership to Advocacy” by the National Youth Climate Consortium (NYCC), an initiative of the Bring Back Green (BBG) Foundation, at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11 Chandigarh. Supported by YuWaah at UNICEF India, the workbook is aimed at equipping young people with structured and practical tools for climate advocacy.

 

The programme was presided over by Monica Munjial Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, with Sanju KS (NYCC) and Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Chandigarh. The resource kit outlines seven actionable steps, including problem identification, stakeholder mapping, SMART goal setting, guidance on accessing funding, and the use of storytelling for advocacy impact.

 

Ananya Rana, NYCC Climate Champion for Chandigarh, described the workbook as “a companion for every young changemaker seeking to translate concern into sustained climate action.”

 

Students of the Master of Social Work programme of Panjab University actively participated in the session.
