PU Concludes Skill Enhancement Course on Basic to Advanced Excel
The Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE) at Panjab University, in collaboration with the University Business School (UBS), has successfully concluded its eleven-day Skill Enhancement Course titled Mastering Basic to Advanced Excel. The programme, designed to strengthen workplace-ready data skills, covered a wide range of Excel functionalities, from core tools to automation techniques and emerging AI-driven features. Participants who completed the course were awarded certificates during the valedictory function.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Deepak Rana, Associate Regional Head, HDFC Life, Chandigarh, described Excel as an indispensable business tool that has evolved alongside technological advancements. He emphasised the importance of continuous skill upgrading to remain relevant, boost productivity, and advance career prospects in an ever-changing professional landscape.
Rana commended Panjab University’s commitment to skill-based learning through CSDE, praising its role in equipping students with industry-relevant competencies that extend beyond the traditional curriculum. The initiative, he noted, reflects the university’s focus on preparing graduates to excel in dynamic and competitive environments.
