Rohtak, April 14, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that procurement and lifting operations across mandis and procurement centres in the district are being carried out smoothly, with all necessary arrangements in place to ensure a hassle-free experience for farmers.
During an inspection of Sampla grain market, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed wheat procurement, lifting, and gate pass systems. He interacted with farmers and arhtiyas, listened to their concerns, and issued on-the-spot directions to further streamline the arrangements.
He emphasized that farmers must not face any inconvenience while selling their produce and directed officials to ensure that the procurement process remains transparent, efficient, and farmer-friendly.
Reviewing arrangements on the ground, he inspected moisture testing, weighing systems, and basic facilities. He directed officials to accelerate lifting operations to avoid congestion in mandis and ensure smooth inflow of produce.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that wheat procurement is being carried out at MSP ₹2585 per quintal, while mustard is being procured at ₹6200 per quintal.
So far, the district has recorded:
• 48,928.40 metric tonnes of wheat procurement
• 1,468 metric tonnes of mustard procurement, with 100% lifting completed
Procurement operations are actively underway at Rohtak, Meham, Sampla, Kiloi, Lakhan Majra, Madina, and Sanghi mandis and procurement centres.
He further shared that:
• Food & Supplies Department has procured 9,774.80 MT
• HAFED has procured 24,419.80 MT
• Haryana Warehousing Corporation has procured 14,733.80 MT
A total of 9,299.50 MT wheat has been lifted so far (approx. 19%), with Sampla mandi achieving 100% lifting performance. Efforts are being intensified to lift the remaining stock of 39,628.90 MT at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed mustard procurement details across mandis, confirming that complete lifting has been ensured.
Highlighting key reforms introduced in the Rabi procurement season 2026-27, the Deputy Commissioner said:
·       Vehicle number & photo capture at entry gate
·       Mandatory biometric verification of farmers/authorized representatives
·       Iris authentication option where needed
·       Geo-fencing of mandis and warehouses
·       GPS-based monitoring of lifting and transportation
“These reforms are ensuring greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the procurement system,” he added.
The meeting and inspection were attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, SDM Ankita Panwar, Market Committee Secretary Savita Saini, and other officials.
