Positive Impact of Government's Pro-People Policies Clearly Visible Across the Nation and State: HIRD Director Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan
Nissing, March 16, 2026: With the objective of extending the benefits of development and government schemes to the last person in society, the Central Government—under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi—and the government in Haryana—led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini—are continuously working with great effectiveness. The positive impact of the government's pro-people policies is clearly visible today across both the nation and the state. These views were expressed by Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development and BJP State Spokesperson, while addressing party office-bearers and workers of the Nissing Mandal.
Speaking at an event organized under the 'Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mega Campaign 2026'—and providing details regarding various government schemes and achievements—Dr. Chauhan said that, through the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana’, free rations are being provided to over 81 crore beneficiaries across the country, offering significant relief to poor and needy families.
He further noted that the government has also provided substantial relief to the middle class by implementing a 'zero income tax' regime for incomes up to ₹12.75 lakh. Furthermore, through the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women's Reservation Act), a historic decision has been taken to grant 33 percent reservation to women in Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies, thereby giving a new direction to women's political participation and empowerment.
The HIRD Director Dr. Chauhan highlighted that, under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana’ (Prime Minister's Skill Development Scheme), over 1.3 crore youths have so far received certified training tailored to industry requirements, resulting in a remarkable enhancement of their employability.
He added that, as a result of the Central Government's policies, more than 25 crore people in India have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty over the last decade—a significant indicator of the nation's holistic development. Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ (Clean India Mission), over 12 crore toilets have been constructed across the country, thereby ensuring not only improved sanitation but also the safety and dignity of women. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, loans for self-employment have been made available to women on a large scale; to date, more than 350 million women beneficiaries have availed themselves of these benefits, thereby giving a significant boost to women's entrepreneurship.
The BJP workers present at the event received detailed information regarding various government schemes through a comprehensive training campaign. Present on the occasion were Mandal President Mansa Singh (Johnny Rana), Mandal Vice President Sardar Pratap Singh, Convener Surendra Taya, Mandal In-charge Suman Narwal, former Mandal President Mahipal Rana, Market Committee Chairman Rohit Rana, Block Committee Chairman's representative Sardar Sukhdev Singh, along with Bhojpal Rana, Mohan Rana, Krishna Sen, and other office bearers and workers.
