Rohtak, December 15, 2025: Emphasising that no child should be left behind in immunisation coverage, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta called for planned, time-bound and mission-mode implementation of the Special Immunisation Campaign to ensure a healthy childhood and a secure future for every child in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking after formally inaugurating the Special Immunisation Campaign at the General Hospital, Rohtak, and interacting with doctors and healthcare staff. He said the campaign is aimed at identifying and vaccinating children who have been missed under routine immunisation for any reason, so that complete protection against vaccine-preventable diseases can be ensured.
DC Sachin Gupta directed health officials to ensure that not a single eligible child remains unvaccinated. He informed that, under the campaign, 102 special immunisation sessions will be organised as per a defined schedule in both rural and urban areas of the district. Children up to one year of age will be administered essential vaccines during these sessions.
Highlighting the importance of adolescent immunisation, the Deputy Commissioner instructed that all schools in the district must submit a declaration confirming 100 per cent TT vaccination coverage of children in the 10-year and 16-year age groups. He further directed that all vaccinations be mandatorily recorded on the U-WIN digital platform for effective monitoring, tracking and future reference. To improve outreach, SMS alerts and reminders will also be sent to eligible beneficiaries.
Briefing on the preparedness, Immunisation Campaign Nodal Officer Dr. Pratibha said that all logistical arrangements have been completed. While routine immunisation is normally conducted on Wednesdays, the special campaign will include 102 dedicated sessions to cover left-out and missed children. Adequate availability of vaccines and trained staff has been ensured to avoid any gaps in service delivery.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra, Principal Medical Officer Dr. Renu Bambu, District Immunisation Officer Dr. Satyawan, Nodal Officer Dr. Pratibha and Medical Superintendent Dr. Pushpendra were present on the occasion.
