Nilokheri, August 15, 2026: The Haryana Institute of Rural Development celebrated Independence Day with a dignified ceremony marked by the singing of Vande Mataram and the hoisting of the national flag by Institute Director Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan.
Extending Independence Day greetings, Dr. Chauhan paid tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices secured the nation’s freedom. He said the true meaning of independence lies in fulfilling one’s duties sincerely and contributing to the development of the country and society. He urged employees to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, keeping national interest, unity and integrity paramount.
Assistant Professor Sandeep Kumar also greeted the staff and called upon everyone to play a constructive role in strengthening the nation’s unity, integrity and progress.
Officers and employees of HIRD attended the ceremony, which concluded with a pledge to serve the nation and contribute to its continued progress.
