PAU students attend In-Industry Training

Ludhiana, July 12, 2023: The School of Business Studies (SBS), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), under the mentorship of Dr Navdeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Industrial Summer Internship, organized summer training for the students of SBS. In-industry training is mandatory for the students of MBA, MBA (Agri Business) and Ph.D. Students go in for the in-industry training after completing the first year of the degree programme. This year also the students went to different prestigious organisations/industries including Cognisol Agritech, Bayer India, Hero Cycles, Verka, Nirmal Bang Securities, and Punjab Agro-Industries Corporation for in-industry training.

It has been a tradition of SBS that teachers go in for surprise invigilation of the student trainees at their respective organisations. This ensures discipline among the students and commitment from the organisation. This year also, teams of teachers visited different companies for the invigilation of in-industry training. Later, the students prepared a detailed training report, based on which they presented a credit seminar in SBS.

Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, SBS, observed that these trainings and the invigilation by the faculty imparted skill development and helped in inculcating discipline among the students and developing long-term relationship with the industry.
