PAU prepares students for interviews and building CV

Ludhiana, March 6, 2024: The Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a workshop on “Preparing for Interviews and Building Curriculum Vitae” for the undergraduate and postgraduate students, under the scheme “Strengthening and development of higher agricultural education in India.” The focus was on preparing the students for jobs as well as higher education interviews.

The guest speaker Ranjeet Kaur, Teaching Assistant, Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages and Culture (AJLC), discussed the types and process of interview. She pin pointed different aspects to be taken care of while preparing for and facing the interview as well as the post interview. She emphasized on the body language, the knowledge about the organization and the position applied for, the way of answering the questions, etc. She also asked to review and self-evaluate their performance after interview.

Another speaker Heena Goyal, Teaching Assistant, AJLC, elaborated on building curriculum vitae. Differentiating between biodata, CV and resume, she discussed different aspects of curriculum vitae (CV). She emphasized on mentioning all the important activities which are relevant to the post related to academics, research, community development and extracurricular in the CV. She shared the template of CV with students to further prepare their own CV.
