PAU Organises "Train The Trainer" Programme On Tractor Operator

Ludhiana, February 2, 2016: The Directorate of Extension Education, in collaboration with the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) is conducting a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme on Tractor Operator from 2nd February to 5th February , 2016 in the College of Agri. Engineering at PAU.

 

PAU, with its knowledgeable and dedicated workforce is adding to the national capacity building by signing an MOU with the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI), said Kamal Sodhi, a representative of ASCI.

 

Giving details about the training, Dr HS Bajwa, Senior Extension Specialist said that standardized trainings (under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) in various fields for the people working at the grassroots level will ensure employability and development of entrepreneurial abilities in the agricultural sector. He also informed that Punjab Agricultural University, has got affiliation as Training Provider with Food Industry Capacity and Skill Initiative (FICSI) Council and has already organsd one training course for baking technicians.
