Panjab University’s (PU) menstrual hygiene awareness initiative, Mytharche, undertaken by Enactus SSBUICET, conducted its 94th and 95th awareness workshops on February 12 in Dehradun and February 13 in Mussoorie in collaboration with Waste Warriors.
Chandigarh, February 13, 2026: Panjab University’s (PU) menstrual hygiene awareness initiative, Mytharche, undertaken by Enactus SSBUICET, conducted its 94th and 95th awareness workshops on February 12 in Dehradun and February 13 in Mussoorie in collaboration with Waste Warriors.
The workshops engaged students and local community members in structured sessions on menstrual hygiene, myth-busting, and safe, eco-friendly menstrual waste disposal practices. Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus, and President, Corporate Sustainability Council, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chandigarh, stated that the initiative focuses on building informed awareness and encouraging responsible menstrual health practices at the grassroots level.
A role-play skit on common household situations and prevailing social stigmas around menstruation, creating a relatable framework that enabled participants to engage in open dialogue. Samardeep Kaur, Project Head, said the format reduced hesitation and fostered a safe space for discussion.
Aryan Kamboj, Innovation Head, highlighted that integrating performance-based communication with awareness initiatives enhanced participant comfort. Anurag Ghosh, Media Production Head, noted that the workshops received a positive response.
Alongside the awareness sessions, the team also undertook outreach and product awareness activities in local markets across Dehradun, Mussoorie and adjoining areas.
