Chandigarh, December 11, 2022: Panjab University, Sector 14 Chandigarh is conducting a five-day workshop from 9th-13th December 2022 on the title, “Characterizing Nanomaterials Through X-Ray Photoemission Spectroscopy”, an event under GiAN, Global Initiative of Academic Networks.
The inaugural ceremony was held on 9th December 2022 in the auditorium of SSBUICET, Panjab University. The dignitaries for the event were Dean University Instructions, Prof. RenuVig; the registrar, Prof. Y. P. Verma; Director, SAIF, CIL, Prof. G. R. Chaudhary; Secretary Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Kashmir Singh. The university warmly welcomed Prof. Asanov Igor from Institute of Inorganic Chemistry Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science,Novosibirsk, Russia. Prof.Asanov, the speaker for the workshop was accompanied by his better-half Prof. Tatiana Asanov. The local coordinator GiAN, Prof. Gurjaspreet Singh gave a detailed insight into GiAN and its courses.
The course coordinator, Dr. Sanjeev Gautam introduced the audience to the schedule of the complete workshop. The audience comprised of students, scholars, faculty, executives, engineers and researchers from manufacturing, service and government organizations. The ceremony began with the lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by PU anthem and then the dignitaries addressed the audience with their words. The ceremony marked the beginning of the workshop on X-ray photoemission spectroscopy.
