Panjab University Organised Two-Day Workshop “Personality Development and Communication Skills”
The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh in collaboration with the Central Placement Cell, PU, Chandigarh conducted a Two-Day Workshop on “Personality Development and Communication Skills” to assist students to learn about essential skills that will help them become better workers to the public and private sectors.

Chandigarh, October 9, 2026: The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh in collaboration with the Central Placement Cell, PU, Chandigarh conducted a Two-Day Workshop on “Personality Development and Communication Skills” to assist students to learn about essential skills that will help them become better workers to the public and private sectors.
The workshop was conducted over two days and four sessions of 1.5 hours each. The four sessions were undertaken by qualified resource persons who stand out in their field and shared their valuable insights with the participants.
The first session was conducted by Dr Amrinder Kahlon on Personality development. She taught students about the importance of a strong personality through interesting acronyms like OCEAN and worksheets as well.
The second session was presented by Dr Manvinder Kaur who taught students about essential communication skills by engaging students in practical demonstrations and interesting activities. The third session was carried out by Dr Ishwar Sandhu, who explained the importance of a concise resume and helped students create an ATS-friendly resume.
The fourth session was executed by Dr Sneha Sharma, who emphasised on the importance of confidence in one’s conduct in an interview through experiential learning.
The participants asked insightful questions from the resource persons who patiently and comprehensively answered all questions.
