Panjab University Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with Integrity Pledge and Awareness Activities
Panjab University, Chandigarh, commenced the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 today under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The observance aims to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability among students, faculty, and staff, in line with the national objective of strengthening a culture of ethical governance and responsibility.

Chandigarh, October 27, 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh, commenced the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 today under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The observance aims to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability among students, faculty, and staff, in line with the national objective of strengthening a culture of ethical governance and responsibility.
The week-long programme began with the administration of the Integrity Pledge by PU Registrar Prof. Y. P. Verma, Chief Vigilance Officer Prof. Simrit Kahlon, Controller of Examinations Prof. Jagat Bhushan, and Finance and Development Officer Dr. Vikram Nayyar, who administered the pledge to the non-teaching staff for honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct.
In functions organised in various departments, centres, and institutes, the teachers, students, and research scholars participated in integrity pledge ceremonies, extension lectures, and interactive awareness sessions highlighting the importance of vigilance as a shared social and institutional responsibility. The Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 was also observed by the Departments of Statistics, Psychology, Panjab University Institute of Social Science Education and Research (PU-ISSER), and the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Today’s events also featured lectures on cyber vigilance, awareness campaigns, creative competitions, and discussions aimed at enhancing understanding of ethical governance and preventive vigilance.
The students were also encouraged to take the online Integrity Pledge through the Vigilance Cell portal cvo.puchd.ac.in or by visiting the Central Vigilance Commission website cvc.gov.in.
