Panjab University Observes National Anti-Terrorism Day with Blood Donation Camp
Panjab University, Chandigarh, marked National Anti-Terrorism Day by organising a blood donation camp at the Student Centre today. The blood donation camp was organised by the PU National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in collaboration with PGIMER and the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) office, with the active support of PUCSC 2024–25.

Chandigarh, 23 May 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh, marked National Anti-Terrorism Day by organising a blood donation camp at the Student Centre today. The blood donation camp was organised by the PU National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in collaboration with PGIMER and the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) office, with the active support of PUCSC 2024–25.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig administered the Anti-Terrorism Day pledge to students, teachers, and blood donors. Participants pledged to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence and uphold values of tolerance and brotherhood.
*Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig underlined the deeper significance of the event. “Blood donation is one of the most selfless acts one can perform. On an occasion that marks our collective stand against violence and extremism, blood donation is the most appropriate symbol of our solidarity against terrorism,” she said.*
The camp was organised and coordinated by Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator, NSS PU; Dr. Sonia Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS PU; along with DSW Prof. Amit Chauhan, DSW (W) Prof. Simrit Kahlon, and ADSW Prof. Naresh Kumar. PU Campus Students Council President Anurag Dalal and Vice President Archit Garg were also present on the occasion.
