Chandigarh, January 14, 2026: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, joyfully celebrated the festival of Lohri in the university campus with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The celebration aimed to promote Indian cultural traditions and foster unity and harmony among students, scholars, faculty, and staff.
The event kicked off with a traditional Lohri bonfire, symbolising warmth and unity. Attendees gathered around the fire, exchanging cheerful conversations and immersing themselves in the spirit of the festival. A highlight of the evening was the enticing spread of traditional Lohri delicacies, revdi, gajak and popcorns. The rhythmic beats of folk music filled the air, adding a cultural touch to the celebration.
