PU Clinches Prestigious Clarivate India Research Excellence Award in State University Category

Chandigarh, September 25, 2025: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has been conferred with the Clarivate India Research Excellence Citation Award 2025 under the State University category, highlighting its stature as a leading centre of research and academic distinction in the country.
The Clarivate India Research Excellence Citation Awards are presented annually to institutions and researchers whose work has achieved global recognition through high citation impact, reflecting academic influence, innovation, and societal contribution.
In her congratulatory message to the students, faculty and staff, PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig said, “This recognition by Clarivate India is yet another validation to PU’s excellence and its national leadership in all fields of academics and research. The award reflects the hard work and dedication of our researchers, faculty members, and students who continue to contribute significantly to knowledge creation and innovation.”
The prestigious award was received by Dean University Instructions (DUI), Prof. Yojna Rawat, on behalf of PU during a grand felicitation ceremony organised in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Yojna Rawat said, “I take this opportunity to congratulate the faculty members and researchers of our University. I extend my sincere gratitude to Clarivate India for recognising the academic excellence of Panjab University under the State University category.”
