Chandigarh, 17 November 2025: The Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, in collaboration with Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector–23A, Chandigarh, and National Service Scheme (NSS) organized a health awareness program on Monday at 10 AM in Lecture Hall, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec-23A, Chandigarh.

The event aimed to promote physical, mental, and environmental well-being among students through informative and interactive sessions.

Session 1: Prevention of Malaria and Dengue
Presented by Dr. Varsha, this session focused on creating awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and highlighted simple yet effective preventive measures to reduce risks and maintain a healthy environment.

Session 2: Role of Yoga and Meditation for Youth
Led by Dr. Nishant, the session emphasized the importance of yoga and meditation in managing stress, enhancing concentration, and promoting holistic health among young individuals.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar, Chairperson, Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, and graced by Nina Rastogi, Principal, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec-23A, as Chief Guest. The program was held in the presence of faculty member Dr. Paravreet Kaur, whose participation added value to the initiative. The program successfully combined health education with practical insights, inspiring students to adopt healthier habits and contribute to a cleaner, disease-free Chandigarh.
