Pallavi-Divya-Shreya team clinches MDU’s Prudencia-2026 moot court title
A team comprising Pallavi, Divya and Shreya (TC-24) won the inter-departmental moot court competition, Prudencia-2026, organised by the Department of Law and the Moot Court Society of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU). The team of Hiransh, Tanisha and Diksha Kumari (TC-15) secured the runner-up position.
Rohtak, October 11, 2026: A team comprising Pallavi, Divya and Shreya (TC-24) won the inter-departmental moot court competition, Prudencia-2026, organised by the Department of Law and the Moot Court Society of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU). The team of Hiransh, Tanisha and Diksha Kumari (TC-15) secured the runner-up position.
Coordinated by Prof Yogender, convenor of the Moot Court Committee, the competition saw teams TC-14, TC-13, TC-15 and TC-24 compete in the semi-finals, with TC-15 and TC-24 advancing to the final.
The event provided students with practical exposure to courtroom proceedings, legal research, drafting arguments and effective advocacy.
In the individual categories, Prachi Kaushik (TC-14) was adjudged Best Researcher, Neha (TC-13) Best Speaker, while Aashna Harjai, Ishika and Srishti Verma (TC-35) won the Best Memorial award.
The final was judged by Jhajjar District Attorney Anuj Dahiya, Rohtak Deputy Director of Prosecution Anand Maan, Jhajjar Additional District and Sessions Judge Sumit Garg, and former Rohtak Bar Association president Lokinder Phogat.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Anjali. The Department of Law acknowledged the contribution of the judges, participants, faculty members, organising committees and volunteers.
