Jalandhar, October 11, 2026: CT Public School hosted Funlympics 2.0, an Inter-School Kindergarten Sports Event that brought together young champions aged 3 to 6 years from 17 preschools and educational institutions across the region. The event celebrated fitness, confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship through a series of exciting, age-appropriate races and engaging activities designed to combine physical development with joyful learning. The campus came alive with cheerful applause, enthusiastic participation and the infectious energy of the little athletes.
The event witnessed participation from Josan Model, Guru Kirpa Playway, Golden Buds, Anmol Bachpan Playway, Little Nanhe Manke Playway, Krayons The Preschool, Pearls School, St. Soldier Elite, Little Olives, Ordnance Kindergarten, Stop N Play Zone School, London Kids School, CRPF Montessori School, Kiddies Garden Play School, Silver Pearls Preschool, Jumbo Kids School and Jingle Bells School. The young participants competed in a variety of creative races across Pre-Nursery, Nursery, KG-1 and KG-2, showcasing their agility, coordination, concentration and sporting spirit. Ordnance Kindergarten School bagged the Overall Trophy, emerging as the proud winner of Funlympics 2.0. Medals and certificates were presented to the winners, while every participant was applauded for their enthusiasm and effort.
A special highlight was the vibrant Bhangra and Giddha performance by Krayons The Preschool. The young performers captivated the audience with their energetic presentation, colourful traditional costumes and impressive coordination, adding a festive cultural touch to the sporting celebration. The event provided a meaningful platform for children from different institutions to interact, build friendships and experience the values of healthy competition and fair play.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest ACP Narinder Singh Aujla. The esteemed management, led by Sardar Charanjit Singh Channi, along with members of the Managing Committee, also marked their presence. The gathering further included Guest of Honour Balraj Singh Chauhan, an inspiring ultra-cyclist; Prem Bhalla; Arun Arora, entrepreneur and Managing Director of Stallion Sports; and Alok K. Nagpal, a distinguished businessman and social contributor. Principal Manisha Basnet encouraged the young participants and appreciated the collective efforts of the participating schools, parents, teachers and organising team in making the event a success.
Sharing her thoughts on the occasion, Principal Manisha Basnet said, “At this age, every little step, every attempt and every smile is a victory in itself. Funlympics 2.0 is about giving children the confidence to participate, the courage to try and the joy of learning through play. We believe that when children grow through encouragement, teamwork and positive experiences, they develop the foundation for a healthier, happier and more confident future.”
Funlympics 2.0 concluded on a joyful note, reaffirming CT Public School’s commitment to holistic education and the belief that the earliest lessons in confidence, discipline and sportsmanship can begin with something as simple as play.
