Rohtak, June 1, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has informed that a total of 1,16,094 animals have been vaccinated so far under the ongoing Pashu Suraksha Chakra Campaign being implemented across the district to protect livestock from highly infectious diseases such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Hemorrhagic Septicemia (HS).
The district administration has set a target of vaccinating approximately two lakh animals during the campaign and has appealed to livestock owners to actively cooperate with veterinary teams to ensure that no eligible animal is left uncovered.
The Deputy Commissioner urged livestock owners to share the OTP received on their mobile phones with authorized Animal Husbandry Department teams without hesitation so that vaccination records can be digitally verified and updated in real time.
He said that the campaign is being implemented through 65 dedicated vaccination teams of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, which are conducting door-to-door vaccination across villages and rural areas. Immediately after vaccination, the details are being uploaded online to maintain transparency, accuracy and a comprehensive digital health record of livestock.
DC Sachin Gupta stated that the district administration is committed to achieving full coverage under the campaign and ensuring protection of livestock against preventable infectious diseases. He appealed to all livestock owners to get every eligible animal vaccinated within the campaign period.
The Deputy Commissioner further informed that each vaccinated animal is being registered on the Government of India’s Bharat Pashudhan App, and vaccination records are being uploaded immediately after the procedure.
Special emphasis is also being placed on maintaining the vaccine cold chain to preserve effectiveness and quality. Officials have been directed to ensure that vaccines are stored and transported at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C throughout.
