Rohtak, April 9, 2026: A one-day lecture on the propagation of Sanskrit was organized by the Department of Sanskrit at Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar. During this program—themed "The Interrelationship between Vedic Culture and Modern Science"—scholars presented insightful perspectives on the profound connections between Vedic wisdom and contemporary scientific viewpoints.

Chief Guest, Prof. Kamal Chandra Yogi elucidated the scientific facts embedded within Vedic literature in the context of modern science. He asserted that Sanskrit is not merely a language, but rather the very cornerstone of scientific thought. By drawing parallels between the principles described in the Vedas, Upanishads, and other ancient texts and current scientific research, he highlighted that the Indian knowledge tradition has always been rich in scientific perspective.

Presiding over the event, Dr. Jagdish Bhardwaj, Head of the Department of Sanskrit, emphasized the imperative need for the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit, as well as its integration into the modern education system. He remarked that such lectures not only serve to enrich the knowledge of students but also help connect them with their cultural roots.

Dr. Bablu Sharma and Dr. Hariom also shared their views, shedding light on the propagation of the Sanskrit language, its scientific utility, and its continued relevance in the contemporary era. Other distinguished guests and scholars present at the event included Dr. Brahm Prakash, Dr. Baburam, and Dr. Manjit, among others. Throughout the lecture, students and research scholars participated enthusiastically, raising numerous queries related to the subject matter, which were subsequently addressed and resolved by the scholars.
