NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar Conclude Seven Day Special NSS Camp
The ongoing Seven Day Special NSS Camp 2025–26, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, concluded at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. The camp was held from December 20 to December 26, 2025, across the college campus and its adopted villages.
Jalandhar, December 27, 2025: The ongoing Seven Day Special NSS Camp 2025–26, organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, concluded at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. The camp was held from December 20 to December 26, 2025, across the college campus and its adopted villages.
College Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur congratulated the NSS volunteers for successfully completing the camp. Interacting with the volunteers, she stated that the activities conducted during the camp—focused on personality development, community service, awareness rallies, street plays on drugs and understanding village lifestyles—provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by society and youth. She encouraged the volunteers to spread the values and learnings gained during the camp within the community.
Chief Programme Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that the volunteers carried out several initiatives, including cleanliness drives at the college campus, library and Lyallpur Khalsa College Halt. The volunteers also visited an orphanage at Budhiana under the Feel Good Programme and organised a similar programme for the Deaf and Dumb at the college.
He further shared that awareness rallies on water conservation, drug de-addiction and tree plantation were conducted in villages Budhiana, Johlan and Bolina Doaba. Nukkad Nattaks were staged at Budhiana and Johlan, the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas was observed, reflectors were installed at blind spots in Budhiana, saplings were planted at Bolina Doaba, and a youth parliament on “Challenges Before Youth and Their Solutions” was organised.
On the concluding day of the camp, shabad gayan, poetry recitation and experience-sharing sessions were held. The camp report and day-wise videos were presented, followed by the distribution of T-shirts and certificates to the volunteers. Volunteer Jaskaran Singh was declared the camp leader.
All the volunteers pledged to carry forward the values learned during the seven-day camp. The valedictory session was also attended by Prof. Navneet Kaur, Prof. Surbjit Singh and Prof. Manju Joshi.
