NSS PU celebrated Shaheedi Diwas of Bhagat Singh

Chandigarh, March 24, 2023: The National Service Scheme, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated Shaheedi Diwas of Bhagat Singh. The volunteers expressed their gratitude towards their sacrifice. Bhagat Singh Ji always said that “ If I married in slave India, my bride shall only be death”. Following this school of thought one of the volunteers, Rajat Amrit wrote, “ Saare rishton ki kasamein dilayi mamta ne, band kar diye khadar, main ruka nahi. Khol diye ashkon ke dwaar, kayi andheron ne, main ruka nahi”. Bhagat Singh’s sacrifice was remembered and the volunteers also sang songs in his praise. The event was coordinated in the presence of  Dr. Vivek Verma, Dr. Simran Preet and Dr. Amita Verma along with the student coordinators Ujjawal Aggarwal, Mannat Dubey and Sandeep Bajwa.
The residents and staff of Girls hostel 3 paid their tributes to Bhagat Singh. The stories of his bravery were discussed and the residents paid floral tributes to the great martyr.
