No More Sleeping in Ward Corridors at PGIMS, HODs Told to Keep Close Watch at Ward arrangements

Rohtak, September 19, 2026: PGIMS, Rohtak Director Dr S.K. Singhal on Saturday inspected hospital wards and directed officials to address deficiencies affecting patient safety and convenience.
During his inspection of Ward No. 2, Dr Singhal found shortcomings in the gallery and other arrangements and ordered their immediate rectification. He directed all Heads of Departments (HODs) to personally conduct regular rounds of their wards and ensure that shortcomings are promptly addressed.
The director also took note of attendants sleeping in ward galleries. He ordered that separate seating arrangements be provided outside all wards so that galleries remain clear for patient movement and emergency access.
Dr Singhal also directed officials to strengthen cleanliness monitoring. The name and designation of the doctor on duty will now be displayed outside each ward to help patients and attendants identify the concerned physician.
Director pulls up PWD over pending slab repair
Dr Singhal expressed displeasure over the deteriorating slab condition in Ward No. 2. He noted that flooring and wall work had been completed, but slab repair was still pending. He directed the PWD to complete the repair at the earliest.
