Former Minister and Chairman of District Planning Board Mr Hira Singh Gabria on Thursday addressing a press conference at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, September 3, 2015: Former Minister and Chairman of District Planning Board Mr Hira Singh Gabria today stated that as per the new orders of the Punjab government, now no Change of Land Use (CLU) certificate would be required for getting an electricity connection from PSPCL for industry. While addressing a press conference here today, Mr Gabria thanked Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal for taking a decision in this regard which would benefit thousands of small industrialists.
Mr Hira Singh Gabria claimed that for the solution of this issue, the Punjab government had set up a committee in which Mr Gabria was the chairman while OSD to Deputy CM Mr Ajay Mahajan and leading industrialist Mr Gurmeet Singh Kular were members. He informed that a detailed survey was carried out after which it was decided that no CLU is required for getting electricity connection for industry. The Local Bodies Department has also issued a formal letter in this regard.
Mr Hira Singh Gabria said that with this decision, thousands of small industries in different parts of the city would benefit. He further informed that Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal would be visiting Ludhiana on September 8 and lay foundation stones of several development works in the city.
During the press conference, Mr Gabria claimed that the Punjab government is committed for safeguarding the interest of industry in the state.
