Mohali, May 3, 2025: The “Cricket Beyond Sight” tournament, organised by Shamshir Foundation at Yadavindra Public School (YPS), Mohali, witnessed a powerful display of talent, determination, and sportsmanship from visually impaired cricketers across Punjab.

In the Under-19 category, Patiala School for the Blind emerged victorious by scoring 105 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. The Man of the Match title was awarded to Nitin from the Patiala team for his stellar all-round performance — scoring the highest number of runs and claiming 5 wickets.

The Senior Team finale saw a thrilling clash where Bharat Netraheen Samaj Sewak Team from Ludhiana claimed the trophy after posting a formidable score of 200 runs, outplaying a strong Malerkotla team.

Ishaan, one of the key supporters of the event, expressed deep admiration for the players:
“The enthusiasm and zeal shown by these visually impaired athletes is nothing short of inspiring. It has motivated me to organize similar tournaments across all cities of Punjab and soon into Haryana as well.”

Adding to the momentum, The Shamshir Foundation announced its support for the next visually impaired cricket tournament, scheduled to take place in Ambala.
