NIIFT, Ludhiana will conduct second ATAL sponsored FDP in Apparel Design (Advance) through online, from Nov 22-26

Ludhiana, November 18, 2021: Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) Ludhiana, a college of Design, Management and Technology is going to organize a five- day Faculty Development Progarmme in Apparel Design (Advance) starting 22nd November which will be conducted online. The FDP is sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, a statutory body under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The objective of All India Council of Technical Education Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy is to help institutions in imparting technical education in the country and to support technical institutions in fostering research, innovation and entrepreneurship through training in nine thrust areas including Apparel Design.  Post Covid-19, ATAL Academy has gone totally online from registration of faculty members till certificate disbursal mechanism through web portal, i.e. www.aicte-india.org/atal. The faculty of fashion institutes, Polytechnics, CBSE School vocational teachers, industry people, research scholars etc. can apply through online on AICTE Atal web portal: https://www.aicte-india.org/atal by 20th November 2021. There are limited seats and application limit of the online program is only 200 & is on first come first serve basis.  This FDP is in furtherance of FDP (Elementary) held in the month of June 2021 and has been divided into 14 sessions, besides the opening and valedictory sessions. Since the program is sponsored by ATAL Academy, there is no registration fee for attending the course. Renowned academicians from premier institutions such as IIT, New Delhi, NIT, Jalandhar, Central University, Rajasthan, NIIFT, Ludhiana and Industry leaders will deliver the sessions as resource persons during the FDP.  Harpreet Singh, Coordinator, ATAL FDP and Course Coordinator, Department of Knitwear Design & Technology (Erstswhile Fashion Design Knits) informed that NIIFT, Ludhiana have started receiving the applications for the program from Pan-India and also extended the invitation to the faculty members of Textile/ Garment/ Fashion Institutes in the state of Punjab to come forward to attend the FDP, to update their trade specific skills.
