NGO donates wheelchairs for patients  

A tricity based NGO, Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, under its social and public welfare work, donated 4 wheelchairs for physically challenged persons at Mother Teresa Haryana Saket Orthopaedic Hospital, Panchkula under the leadership of the NGO's  founder and social worker Amitabh Rungta.

Panchkula, January 6, 2024: A tricity based NGO, Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, under its social and public welfare work, donated 4 wheelchairs for physically challenged persons at Mother Teresa Haryana Saket Orthopaedic Hospital, Panchkula under the leadership of the NGO's  founder and social worker Amitabh Rungta.


Apart from the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Naveen Juneja, Anupama Rungta, Chandrashekhar Jha and others were also present on this occasion. 


Amitabh Rungta said that the foundation has always been involved and committed in social and public welfare works for years and will continue to do such social activities in future. He said that these wheelchairs will fulfill the needs of the needy disabled persons. He also appealed to various NGO's of tricity to help in social work.


Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Naveen Juneja said that he is grateful to Amitabh Rungta, founder of Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, for helping in fulfilling this important need of the hospital. He further said that he expects Rungta ji to continue providing similar help to the hospital in future also.


It is to be noted that social worker Amitabh Rungta has contributed by  implementing many important social inititatives in the society, one of these is organization of a community kitchen or 'bhandara' every week . Till now the foundation  has organized 'bhandara' 94 times. Not only this, a lot of work is being done under Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation for the education of needy girl students. Not only is the fee of underprivileged girls pursuing different college courses paid by the foundation, they are also imparted  skill-based courses in professional institutes at the cost of the NGO. The foundation is also working for  sick cows so that cows can be properly protected and treated.
