National seminar on emerging technologies: changing scenario in digital world 

Ludhiana: Today, a CDC sponsored one day National Seminar was organised at Ramgarhia Girls College by the Department of Computer Science and Applications titled “Emerging Technologies: Changing Scenario in Digital World”. 

Dr. S.S. Sibia, MD, Sibia Medical Centre was the Chief Guest and S. Daljit Singh Gaidhu, Skydome Group of Companies, Canada, presided over afterward. Dr. Sonal Chawla, Professor Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Keynote Speaker and Dr. Akashdeep, Asst. professor UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Amit Kamra, Asst. Prof. G. N. D.E. College   was among the resource persons.S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur and Prof. R. D. Chawla, Head,Departmenr of Computer Science and Applications  accorded a warm welcome to the esteemed guests. Dr. Sonal Chawla in her address said that contemporary era is a digital one so it is the need of the hour to stay connected with the new technologies and make the younger generation aware of the great possibilities in the digital world. 

Dr. Akashdeep gave his opinions by saying that technology is a great resource to achieve higher standards in academic as well as in various industries also. So digital literacy is required for the better results to achieve success in every field.
Dr. Amit Kamra in his speech said that the emerging new technologies are widening the gap between the new and the old generations. The parents must learn the new technologies so that they may keep things under control. That would also help to control cyber crimes. Various Candidates from several colleges presented their papers. 

Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur praising the efforts of Prof. R. D. Chawla, Head,Departmenr of Computer Science and Applications and Prof. Jyoti Verma, Head, Department of Maths said that this conference is indeed very informative and every individual present here has learnt a great deal about the scope in the emerging field of technologies. She further added that we cannot remain ignorant of the new developments if we want to become part of the global movement. S. Ranjodh Singh, President Ramgarhia Educational Council applauded the efforts of the Department of Computer Science and Applications for successfully conducting the seminar.At the end, S.Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary gave away vote of thanks.
