PCTE Student Clinches First Position at Punjab-Level Cooking Competition "Bavarchi" Season 2 

Ludhiana, August 28, 2025:  PCTE Group of Institutes is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of Devansh, a 3rd semester student of BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology), who secured 1st position in the Punjab-level culinary competition “Bavarchi” Season 2, held at CT University, Ludhiana.
The prestigious event was organized by renowned culinary expert Chef Kala, with the initial rounds hosted at Hotel Maharaja Grand. The competition saw participation from over 200 aspiring chefs from across the state. Devansh showcased exemplary culinary skills by preparing authentic Gujarati delicacies, which earned him the top spot among the finalists. 
The grand finale was judged by an elite panel of celebrity chefs, including Chef Kunal Kapoor, who praised Devansh for his innovation, flavor balance, and presentation. Chef Kapoor commended Devansh’s performance, applauding his ability to balance tradition with innovation - a quality that truly set him apart. Winning this competition marks a significant milestone not only in Devansh’s personal journey but also in reaffirming PCTE’s reputation as a leading institute in hospitality and culinary education.
In addition to Devansh's remarkable victory, PCTE proudly recognizes the achievement of three other talented BHMCT students who qualified as finalists in the competition: Ashima – BHMCT, 3rd Semester Kritika – BHMCT, 3rd Semester and Bhavya – BHMCT, 1st Semester .
