‘My Deed’ Pilot Project Launched in Jaisinghpur Tehsil to Simplify Land Registration Process: DC Hemraj Bairwa

Dharamshala, July 11, 2025: In a major step towards enhancing public convenience and promoting digital governance, Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa formally launched the ‘My Deed’ pilot project under the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) in Jaisinghpur tehsil on Friday.

Under this initiative, citizens will now be required to visit the registration office only once for land registration. The new system allows applicants to initiate the land registration process online—anytime and from anywhere—thereby significantly reducing the time, effort, and inconvenience typically involved in the process.

Speaking at the launch, DC Bairwa said the project is part of a broader effort to strengthen the functioning of the Revenue Department through digital reforms. He added that the introduction of e-Rojnamcha Vakyaati will enable Patwaris to maintain digital records of daily activities, while the Karguzaari system will facilitate online attendance marking. This will allow Tehsildars to monitor fieldwork and staff activity more effectively.

Highlighting the state government’s commitment to transparent and accountable governance, the Deputy Commissioner said that several digital initiatives are being implemented across departments to improve service delivery. Sub-divisional magistrates have also been instructed to expedite the resolution of pending land-related cases. Regular review meetings are being held to ensure the efficient functioning of the Revenue Department.

“These digital reforms are aimed at reducing unnecessary visits to government offices, ensuring quicker resolution of public grievances, and offering much-needed relief to the citizens,” said DC Bairwa.
