Social Worker celebrates Daughter’s First Teej with a Message of Respect and Equality
Social worker Pankaj Balhara organised a grand kirtan and Teej celebration to mark his daughter Tia’s first Teej, highlighting the message of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and celebrating the dignity and achievements of daughters. Haryanvi artist Sulekha enthralled the gathering with devotional songs.
Rohtak, August 16, 2026: Social worker Pankaj Balhara organised a grand kirtan and Teej celebration to mark his daughter Tia’s first Teej, highlighting the message of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and celebrating the dignity and achievements of daughters. Haryanvi artist Sulekha enthralled the gathering with devotional songs.
Women and young girls were gifted bangles, chunris and makeup kits, while a beautifully decorated swing served as a selfie point. Kinnar Moni Chaudhary also attended the celebrations and blessed Tia.
Local residents, particularly women, appreciated the initiative, saying celebrations that honour daughters send a strong and positive message to society. Social worker Sajjan Pal and other prominent members of the area were also present.
The event left a strong message of respect, equality and positive thinking towards daughters.
