MP Arora Inaugurates Road Projects Worth Rs.6 Crore in Ludhiana's West Constituency

In a major boost to urban infrastructure in Ludhiana, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjeev Arora today inaugurated a series of completed road development projects in the West Constituency. The inauguration, held at multiple locations, was attended by councillors, residents, government officials, AAP leaders, and workers.

Ludhiana, May 18, 2025: In a major boost to urban infrastructure in Ludhiana, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjeev Arora today inaugurated a series of completed road development projects in the West Constituency. The inauguration, held at multiple locations, was attended by councillors, residents, government officials, AAP leaders, and workers.

The seven projects, fully funded by the Municipal Corporation, covered a total road length of 15.93 kilometers and were executed at an estimated cost of Rs.6 crore. These initiatives are part of a broader vision to improve connectivity and enhance the quality of life for residents across Ludhiana’s urban and semi-urban areas.

The road works spanned various important localities - Sarabha Nagar (Block A, K and I) in Ward 55, Gandhi Colony in Ward 72, Friends Hotel Road in Ward 71, Kitchlu Nagar (Block E) in Ward 63, BRS Nagar (Blocks G & H) in Ward 55 and 58, Citizen Enclave, Pink Avenue & Green Enclave Barewal in Ward 58 and Mahaveer Enclave (Ward 59). 

Speaking at the inaugural functions, Arora expressed satisfaction at the completion of these long-awaited projects and appreciated the efficiency of the Municipal Corporation and project contractors for adhering to timelines and quality standards. He stated that improved roads not only enhance transportation but also contribute to the overall development of local economies by easing access and mobility.

“These roads will provide much-needed relief to commuters and will contribute to making Ludhiana a more livable and modern city,” said Arora. He also highlighted his continued focus on development initiatives in Ludhiana and emphasized that infrastructure will remain a top priority in his agenda.

The projects are expected to significantly benefit thousands of daily commuters and residents, marking a tangible step forward in Ludhiana’s journey toward sustainable urban growth.

“We are extremely thankful to MP Sanjeev Arora for fulfilling this long-pending demand of the residents,” said local residents of the areas concerned, adding, “The newly constructed roads have not only improved the look of our area but have also made daily commuting much smoother. It’s heartening to see Arora taking such concrete steps for the betterment of the city. We truly appreciate his commitment to Ludhiana’s development.”

Among others, Mayor Principal Inderjeet Kaur, Amrit Varsha Rampal, Nandini Jerath, Maninder Kaur, Kapil Kumar Sonu, Satnam Sunny Master, Manu Jerath, Gurinderjit Singh, Sumit, Vijay Batra, Raju Sachdeva and Surinder Bedi were present.
