Ministerial Staff burns effigy of Punjab Government at Ludhiana

Members of the ministerial staff led by the president of the State Ministerial Service Association, Ludhiana on Wednesday held a protest, in support of their demands. Protestors burnt an effigy of the Punjab Government at the Mini-Secretariat at Ludhiana as a mark of the protest. They strongly opposed the state government for imposing all cost-cutting measures on the employees. They also urged for immediate release of dearness allowance (DA) due from January 1, 2013. They regretted that the state government had released it from July onwards.
