Members of parents associations meet DC seeking his intervention in reduction of tuition fee

Urged to waive off of annual charges/development/building fund by the schools
Ludhiana, April 20, 2016: Members of the parents associations of different schools met the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana today to demand his active intervention for reduction of tuition fee and waiving off of annual charges/development/building fund by the schools.

Sh.Dapinder Singh – Chairman and Jaswinder Singh – President represented the GNPS Parents Association in the meeting.

The managements of the schools sent four representatives from 23 schools jointly, said Sh.Dapinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh in a statement here today, adding Deputy Commissioner said that these four members will arrange the meetings between school’s management and school’s parents association for each school separately to resolve the issue. Deputy Commissioner also said these members will arrange meeting between Guru Nanak Public School and GNPS Parents Association within 2 days specially, they further said.

Also, they said the Deputy Commissioner assured the parents representatives that if any school harasses their students regarding fees or any issue, he will take legal action against the school.

Jaswinder Singh cautioned the parents not to be misled by certain people who are trying to take advantage of the situation.

Swaroop Singh said that they have not involved any political party and therefore presence of political parties persons in this meeting was not desirable.

Sh.Charantjit Singh and Sh Gobinder Singh Core members of the GNPS Parents Association said that their movement will continue till their demands are met with.
