Mega Lok Adalat organised at Ferozepur

Ferozepur, April 12, 2014: Following the instructions Justice Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Punjab Legal Aid Services Authority, a Mega Lok Adalat was organised in the premises of District Session Court, Ferozepur by Vivek Puri, District and Session Judge.

Vivek Puri, District and Sessions Judge, said that eighteen batches were formed in this Mega Lok Adalat, one of which at Nihal Singh Wala. He said total 3775 cases were heard today out of which 3303 cases were solved on the spot after mutual consent of both parties.

He further said that different kind of cases including consumer grievances, motor accident claim, illegal possessions etc, were resolved through compromise, wherever possible.

Madan Lal, Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Ferozepur provided information regarding various legal aid schemes. Hira Singh, Civil Judge Senior Division, Ravinder Kaur, CJM, Monika Chauhan, Additional Civil Judge, Gurpreet Kaur, Civil Judge, Varinder Kumar, Civil Judge were present.
