MDU’s Zoology Department celebrates World Wildlife Day
World Wildlife Day was celebrated today in the Zoology Department of MDU, Rohtak. 30 students from 10 departments participated in Best out of Waste and Tattoo Making Competitions and showcased their creative skills.

Rohtak, March 3, 2025: World Wildlife Day was celebrated today in the Zoology Department of MDU, Rohtak. 30 students from 10 departments participated in Best out of Waste and Tattoo Making Competitions and showcased their creative skills.
Prof. Meenakshi Sharma, Head of the Department of Zoology, highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation. She gave information on the theme of this year's World Wildlife Day - Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet.
Prof. Vinay Malik and Prof. Sudhir Kumar Kataria coordinated the Best out of Waste activity. Forensic Science Department Head Dr. Neel Kamal and Environmental Science Department Head Dr. Rachna Bhateria performed the duty of the jury. Nishtha Malik, Kanika and Baby Ahlawat got the first, second and third place respectively. Ritu and Nisha got consolation prizes.
The tattoo making competition was coordinated by Prof. Sudesh Rani and Dr. Ranjana Jaiwal. Microbiology Department Head Dr. Pooja Suneja Madan and Center of Medical Biotech's Dr. Rashmi Bhardwaj performed the duty of the jury. In this competition, Anjali, Anjali A and Saurav got first, second and third place respectively. Kavita, Poonam and Nancy got consolation prizes. A 'What's in the Box' activity was also organized.
