MDU's 'Guru Dakshata' Faculty Induction Program Concludes; 127 Teachers Successfully Complete Training
The month-long Faculty Induction Program (FIP) titled 'Guru Dakshata', organized by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, concluded on Saturday. A total of 127 teachers from universities and colleges across the country successfully completed this four-week training program, which was conducted in a hybrid mode from June 1 to June 27.
Rohtak, June 28, 2026: The month-long Faculty Induction Program (FIP) titled 'Guru Dakshata', organized by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, concluded on Saturday. A total of 127 teachers from universities and colleges across the country successfully completed this four-week training program, which was conducted in a hybrid mode from June 1 to June 27.
Prof. Vivek Kumar, Dean of the School of Social Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, attended the valedictory ceremony as the chief guest. While distributing certificates to the participants, he emphasized that continuous professional development for teachers is essential for the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and for addressing the evolving challenges in higher education. He urged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to innovative teaching, quality research, and socially relevant activities.
On the concluding day of the FIP, Prof. Sandeep Grover, a retired professor from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, delivered a lecture on "Outcome-Based Education and Graduate Attributes." He stressed the need to align curriculum, teaching, and assessment with defined learning outcomes, noting that this would facilitate the creation of competent, responsible, and employable graduates. In the second technical session, Prof. Nasib Singh Gill, delivered a lecture on "ICT and Digital Pedagogy for Teachers."
At the conclusion of the training, the participants underwent an evaluation covering topics such as learner-centric teaching, research methodology, publication ethics, artificial intelligence, digital education, Indian knowledge traditions, and institutional quality enhancement. Expressing satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of teachers from across the country, the organizers (MMTTC, MDU) stated that the program has strengthened the academic, pedagogical, and research capabilities of the participants. They reiterated their commitment to organizing similar capacity-building programs in the future to enhance the quality of higher education.
