Rohtak, August 18, 2026: The College of Physiotherapy at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, will organise a webinar series to mark World Physiotherapy Day. The programme will begin at 8 a.m. on August 19 at LT-5, PGIMS, Rohtak, and will also be streamed online.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal will be the chief guest. College of Physiotherapy Principal and Registrar Dr. Roop Singh said that, under the Vice-Chancellor’s guidance, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at the university are being strengthened and expanded. He said the university is working continuously to advance rehabilitation alongside healthcare services.

Dr. Roop Singh said eminent experts from across the country—including Dr. Jaiprakash Jayavelu, Dr. Shefali Walia, Dr. Alka Pawalia, Dr. Nitin Dhar and Dr. Navinderpal Singh—will deliver lectures during the webinar series. They will discuss the latest research and treatment techniques in neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac and sports physiotherapy.

He highlighted the crucial role of physiotherapy in facilitating early recovery among patients following stroke, Parkinson’s disease and orthopaedic surgeries. He also urged students and medical professionals to participate in the programme in large numbers.
