Manoranjan Kalia Appeals to People to Plant at Least One Fruit-Bearing Sapling During Van Mahotsav
BJP National Executive Member and former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia today planted five fruit-bearing saplings at Company Bagh (Nehru Garden) in Jalandhar as part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations.
Jalandhar, August 2, 2026: BJP National Executive Member and former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia today planted five fruit-bearing saplings at Company Bagh (Nehru Garden) in Jalandhar as part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations.
After the plantation drive, Kalia appealed to the public to plant at least one fruit-bearing sapling this year, nurture it, and allow it to grow into a full-fledged tree.
He said that the fruit-bearing sapling planted this year would grow into a tree in the coming years, providing much-needed shade to people during the scorching summer months. Besides offering shade, it would also serve as a source of food and shelter for birds and insects.
Kalia emphasized that plants and trees play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance and protecting the environment.
