Mann Government Stands with Farmers: Promise to Buy Every Single Bag of Paddy, Farmers Getting Full Payment

Chandigarh, October 25, 2025: The government of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken another big decision for farmers. By continuously purchasing the paddy (rice) crop, the government is giving great relief to farmers. The Chief Minister has clearly said that every single grain of the farmers’ crop will be purchased.

This time there has been no interruption in paddy procurement. Farmers’ crops are being bought quickly at government purchase centers. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given strict instructions to officials that the procurement work should continue without stopping. Sufficient procurement agencies have been deployed for this purpose.

Thousands of purchase centers have been opened across Punjab. Adequate staff and facilities have been provided at these centers. The government has ensured that there is no shortage at any purchase center.

The Mann government has made special arrangements to monitor the purchase centers. Officials have been ordered to inspect the purchase centers daily. If any farmer faces a problem, it should be resolved immediately. Control rooms have been set up at the district level where farmers can register their complaints.

The government has also ensured that farmers do not face any kind of difficulty at the purchase centers. Proper arrangements for water, shade, and seating have been made.

The most important thing is that farmers are receiving full payment on time. Within 48 hours of selling paddy, money is coming directly into farmers’ bank accounts. Earlier, farmers had to wait for months. This system has proved to be a huge relief for farmers.

The government has strengthened the digital payment system. This has freed farmers from the hassle of cash transactions. With money coming directly into bank accounts, transparency is also maintained.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has promised that not a single grain of farmers’ crops will be left behind. The government will buy every farmer’s entire crop. Whether a farmer has one bag or hundreds of bags, everyone’s crop will be purchased. This has created a wave of happiness among farmers and they are farming without worry.

The Mann government has given special attention to small and marginal farmers. These farmers often faced problems earlier due to their small harvests. Now they are also getting equal respect and facilities.

This time the procurement system is so smooth that there are no big crowds at the markets. Farmers are comfortably selling their crops when their turn comes. Earlier, farmers had to stand in line for days. Many times they had to wait overnight with their tractors and trolleys. Now this problem has ended.

A token system has been implemented at purchase centers. Farmers come according to their scheduled time and quickly sell their crops and leave.

The government has created an online portal where farmers can check their turn. This is saving both time and effort for farmers. Everything is happening in a transparent manner. Farmers can check their procurement status on their mobile phones from home.

On the portal, farmers can register, check their turn, and also get payment information. This technological initiative has proved very beneficial for farmers.

Farmer brothers are saying that this time they faced no problems. Their crops were sold on time and they also received payment. The Mann government has kept its promises. Harpal Singh, a farmer from Ludhiana, says, “This is the first time that we didn’t face any trouble. Everything happened very properly.”

Balwinder Singh, a farmer from Sangrur district, says, “My crop was sold in just two days and the money came in three days. This is a very big thing.” Farmers say that such facilities were never available before.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “Punjab’s farmers are our food providers. They should get full value for their hard work. We will pay for every grain of the farmers and no farmer will face problems. This is our commitment.”

He further said, “Punjab’s government stands with the farmers. We will continue to take such steps that benefit farmers. The prosperity of farmers is Punjab’s prosperity.”

This step by the Mann government is being seen as major relief for farmers. Experts believe that if this system continues, the future of Punjab’s farmers will be bright.
