LSS Announces Ludhiana’s First National Theatre Festival at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan
Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam (LSS), in collaboration with Dastak Theatre and The Believer’s Arts Welfare Society, announced the city’s first three-day national theatre festival — Centre Stage — to be held at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan from July 11 to 13, 2025.

Ludhiana, July 5, 2025: Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam (LSS), in collaboration with Dastak Theatre and The Believer’s Arts Welfare Society, announced the city’s first three-day national theatre festival — Centre Stage — to be held at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan from July 11 to 13, 2025.
Addressing the media at a press briefing on Friday, Rajinder Singh, Director of Dastak Theatre; S.K. Rai, General Secretary of LSS; Ankit Luthra, theatre actor; and Ashim Nagpal, Programme Secretary, LSS, shared details about the upcoming event. Noted actor-director Kumud Mishra and industrialist Sunil Munjal also addressed the media virtually and extended their best wishes.
The festival will feature three plays:
• Purane Chawal on July 11, directed by Sumeet Vyas and starring acclaimed actor Kumud Mishra
• Horla, a solo act by Ankit Luthra, on July 12
• Paatal Ka Dev, directed by Rajinder Singh and performed by Dastak Theatre, on July 13
All performances will commence at 7:30 PM. “This is LSS’s 135th cultural event and our first national theatre festival. We aim to promote artistic expression in Ludhiana by bringing together leading theatre talent from across India,” said S.K. Rai.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, with co-sponsorship from Invasset PMS and ABS Global Forwarders Pvt. Ltd., and courtesy support from Ludhiana Beverages (Coca-Cola) and FINDOC.
