The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students enrolled in various Postgraduate, Undergraduate, and Diploma Programmes across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Library & Information Sciences.
The induction programs were designed to acquaint newly enrolled students with the core systems, processes, and learning resources that form the foundation of LPU’s Distance and Online Education ecosystem. Each session was meticulously structured in alignment with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for Student Induction Programs under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) modes, ensuring a seamless transition into the academic environment.
Key highlights of the program included a comprehensive overview of LPU’s legacy, national and international accreditations, approvals, rankings, and recognitions, followed by a detailed explanation of the essential features of the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations governing Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) Programmes. Learners were also provided with detailed guidance on components such as the Learning Management System (LMS), academic delivery model, Personal Contact Programmes, LIVE weekend classes, examination and evaluation procedures, placement support initiatives, and various other student-centric services designed to enhance the overall learning experience.
Students had the opportunity to interact directly with senior University leadership, including the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Directors, along with other senior officials and esteemed faculty members of CDOE.
These interactive engagements allowed learners to seek clarification on academic processes and gain deeper insights into their programme structures. The exchange of ideas further motivated students and inspired them to make the most of the extensive academic support, professional development, and co-curricular opportunities offered by LPU.
