LPU Ranked 109th in The World University Rankings for Innovation 2025

In the Industrial Application category, LPU stood 1st in India and 16th globally surpassing Oxford University, IIT Delhi, Nanyang Technological University, Purdue University, Johns Hopkins University

Jalandhar; July 16, 2025: In a remarkable global achievement, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has been ranked 109th in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025. With participation from thousands of universities from across 87 countries, WURI evaluates institutions not just on academic output but on their real-world impact. It recognises universities that are driving meaningful change through innovative education, creative problem-solving and strong community engagement.

LPU secured the 109th global position and ranked 4th in India, outperforming several globally renowned institutions including the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, McGill University, Washington State University, Nanyang Technological University, University of California Santa Barbara, University of California, Los Angeles, Purdue University, Imperial College London, Cornell University, University of British Columbia, IIT Bombay, and IIT Madras.

In category-specific achievements, LPU earned the 16th global rank and the 1st position in India in the Industrial Application category, reflecting its strong focus on industry-aligned education designed to generate tangible real-world outcomes. In the Ethics and Integrity category, LPU achieved 1st rank both globally and in India, reaffirming its emphasis on moral values, ethical decision-making, and promoting integrity among students and faculty. The university also secured the 23rd global and 2nd position in India in the Funding for Sustainability category, highlighting its commitment to long-term environmental and social responsibility through institutional policies and investments.
