LPU International students from 40+ Countries Embarked on New Journeys at International Students Graduation Day
International students from over 40+ countries, proudly donning graduation caps and robes, turned Lovely Professional University (LPU) into a global festival of dreams, resilience, and triumph as they marked the grand occasion of their Graduation Day. Hundreds of International students, who will soon be graduating, took part in the ceremony representing diverse nations including Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mongolia, Myanmar, Yemen, Morocco, Sudan, Nepal, South Sudan, Ivory Coast, and more.

Jalandhar, May 2, 2025: International students from over 40+ countries, proudly donning graduation caps and robes, turned Lovely Professional University (LPU) into a global festival of dreams, resilience, and triumph as they marked the grand occasion of their Graduation Day. Hundreds of International students, who will soon be graduating, took part in the ceremony representing diverse nations including Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mongolia, Myanmar, Yemen, Morocco, Sudan, Nepal, South Sudan, Ivory Coast, and more.
The event unfolded with an exuberant graduation walk, where the Class of 2025 international students marched towards LPU’s Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, embodying years of perseverance, growth, and cross-cultural friendships.
The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU. Gracing the occasion were several distinguished dignitaries, including Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamud, President of Jamhuriya University of Science and Technology (JUST), Somalia, Ms. Jean Asantewaah Oduro, First Secretary at the Ghana High Commission, New Delhi, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, Dr.Jasapal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sanjay Modi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Monica Gulati, Senior Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU, along with senior officials from JUST, Eng. Abdirizak Warsame Abdulle and Eng. Mohamed Abdulaahi Ali.
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal addressed the graduates, sharing an inspiring message stating, "Today, you stand at the doorway of endless possibilities. Addressing the students, Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamud congratulated the graduates, stating, "Your accomplishments are more than personal victories; they are a testament to your resilience and vision. Ms. Jean Asantewaah Oduro also congratulated the graduates, encouraging them to embrace the future with confidence, reminding them that education is the most powerful catalyst for personal and societal transformation.
Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President and Head of International Affairs at LPU, extended vote of thanks to the dignitaries, students, and faculty. Capping off the evening, graduates lit up the stage with impressive performances singing Indian songs, dancing to music from their homelands, and filling the auditorium with energy, rhythm, and shared joy. The celebration reflected the spirit of unity in diversity, as students brought their cultures together in a moment of global togetherness.
