Jalandhar; October 29, 2025: Revolutionizing the global education the 4th Annual International Conference and Global Summit 2025 global academic collaboration under the theme “Internationalisation Reimagined – Shaping the Future of Higher Education Together.” began at Lovely Professional University (LPU). The three-day global congregation brought together 60+ international delegates representing 25 leading universities from 15 countries, including the USA, UK, Russia, Norway, South Korea, Bangladesh, Germany, Italy,  Canada and many more to discuss new directions for a borderless future in education.


The inaugural ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU), Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice-President of LPU, and Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor.


In the address, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal stated, all the delegates present here from across the globe are not just participants but co-creators of a new global academic order. Dr. Mittal emphasized that international education is now a necessity, and the role of universities is to empower learners to use global access effectively. Dr. Mittal added, “We are moving from internationalisation of education to education of internationalisation, teaching students not just to study globally, but to think, work, and live globally. The future of education will not be written by one nation or one institution, it will be written together.”


Dr. Anna Tyshetskaya, Director of HSE University, Russia, remarked that education and culture have always brought people together, and the delegation present was a true bridge of learning and mutual growth. She highlighted the agreement signed with LPU as a significant step forward on this bridge, adding that internationalisation is not just about semester exchanges but also about exploring intercultural aspects and learning about common challenges.


Dr. Marty Martin, President of Drake University, USA, echoed the sentiment that events like AICGS are vital for building lasting connections between institutions and nations. He emphasized that true internationalisation extends far beyond student mobility, encompassing collaborative research, shared curriculum development, and a deep commitment to addressing global challenges through united academic effort.


Dr. Aman Mittal, emphasized that the conference symbolizes a critical shift in global academic interaction, "We are moving from universities simply meeting, to co-creating academic futures; from partnerships ending with MoUs, to becoming shared missions of integration; and from ideas merely inspiring, to truly transforming education." This conference is a call for our students to be curious and bold, as the future will belong to those who learn, unlearn, and relearn. The future of education will be written together.


The summit witnessed the signing of eight major Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between LPU and leading global institutions, reinforcing its commitment to advancing international academic partnerships. It also marked the inauguration of the LPU–HSE Centre of Excellence, aimed at promoting research and innovation in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, cultural studies, and design.

 
The summit also featured insightful panel discussions on the theme’s, “Rethinking Internationalization in Higher Education: Beyond Mobility and Partnerships” and “Geopolitics and Global Education: Navigating Academic Collaboration in an Era of International Tensions,” where experts examined how international partnerships can remain resilient amid evolving global dynamics.


Embracing the spirit of innovation and collaboration, AICGS 2025 exemplified how internationalisation today goes beyond student mobility and partnerships, emerging as a shared commitment to designing inclusive, future-ready academic ecosystems. Through thought-provoking sessions, research dialogues, and cultural exchanges, the summit encouraged educators, researchers, and policymakers to reimagine higher education as a collective endeavour to address global challenges.


With over 500+ global collaborations across 80+ countries and a diverse student community representing 50+ nations, LPU continues to shape a world where education transcends borders and unites humanity in its pursuit of knowledge and progress.
