Jalandhar, September 15, 2026: On Engineers’ Day, LPU focus is increasingly on how university can equip students to solve real world problems, gain industry exposure and build careers that contribute to India’s technological and industrial growth.
At Lovely Professional University (LPU), this approach is reflected in an engineering ecosystem that combines classroom learning with practical projects, industry exposure, research and career opportunities. As LPU completes 25 years and enters its Silver Jubilee Year, its focus on experiential and industry oriented education continues to shape how engineers are prepared for the future. Students gain hands on experience through live and field projects, experiential learning laboratories, Centres of Excellence, industry mentorship, internships, consultancy and innovation led initiatives.
As engineering becomes increasingly AI integrated, LPU also combines core engineering education with exposure to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data driven systems. This enables students to understand how these technologies can be applied across disciplines to address real world engineering challenges.
Beyond placements, LPU encourages students to work on ideas that can become products, ventures and solutions to real problems. Its live project ecosystem includes student built projects such as a solar powered car, an aerodynamic human powered vehicle and the Flying Farmer, a wireless sensor based device designed for agricultural and forest surveys. The university’s Education Revolution platform also reports more than 450 student led start ups and ₹25 crore+ earned by students through entrepreneurship, live projects, consultancy and internships. Among its alumni outcomes, LPU highlights Anirudh Sharma, a B.Tech CSE graduate and co-founder of space tech company Digantara, which has raised $12.5 million and developed satellite based space surveillance capabilities.
The focus on real world preparation is also reflected in the outcomes of LPU’s engineering students. The School of Computer Science and Engineering currently reports a highest package of ₹64 lakh. The Electronics and Electrical Engineering school reports a highest package of ₹2.5 crore, with students placed across companies including Qualcomm, Intel, Infineon, Cadence, Bosch and Silicon Labs.
